Fürst Belagio FOD

Newly AHS & ARS Approved!
A young stallion with a special presence, Fürst Belagio FOD epitomizes the type many of our breeders are seeking to complement their mares. He is elegant and longer-lined with good length of leg. His movement is correct with an active hindleg that is always stepping well under. His canter is a special highlight – uphill, lots of ground-cover, and an excellent balance. Fürst Belagio’s first foals will arrive in 2020 and we are expecting him to add some height to his mares as well as refinement for the older style mares.

Fürst Belagio is sired by Fürst Belissaro who stands at the Hanoverian State Stud. Fürst Belissaro’s pedigree combines the highly popular stallions Fürstenball and Belissmo M. Rideability is a highlight for these bloodlines and, not surprisingly, Fürst Belissaro convinced strongly in his performance test and was awarded the coveted Weltmeyer Prize. A young but well-regarded stallion, Fürst Belissaro offspring are bringing top prices at auctions and achieving excellent results at the Mare Shows in Germany.

Fürst Belagio’s dam, Rocher, has proven her high value as a broodmare. Two of her oldest offspring are already competing well at the FEI levels and we see her younger offspring showing early successes out competing in the lower levels. She also has produced a States Premium daughter. Breeders will appreciate the proven sire lines in her pedigree as well with the stallions Rotspon, Wolkenstein II, and Argentan I all being well-respected by breeders around the world.

Licensed by the American Hanoverian Society, American Rhineland Studbook, and ISR/Oldenburg NA, Fürst Belagio is an exciting new addition for North American breeders. Michael Bragdell will be developing him in sport as well and we’ll look for his show debut in the summer of 2020.
