Indian Rock

Int'l Grand Prix Competitor now available in North America!
A stallion with so much to offer! Indian Rock has an exceptional sport record, a fashionable pedigree, and an exceptionally beautiful exterior. Indian Rock was Champion of his KWPN Stallion Licensing and completed his Stallion Performance Test earning highlight scores of 9.0 for canter and 8.5’s for posture and balance as well as rideability and attitude. As a 5-year old, he represented the Netherlands at the World Championships for Young Horses earning the high final scores of 8.74 and 8.94. Under the continued guidance of Emmelie Scholtens, his career climbed steadily onto the international Grand Prix stage. Indian Rock has earned top placings in Nations Cup competitions, World Cup qualifiers, and at the FEI World Championships in Herning. In 2023, he was the highest scoring horse on the Dutch Team at the European Championships. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Indian Rock helped secure a 4th place finish for the Dutch Team and placed 11th individually. Now partnered with Christian Simonson, a Pan-Am Medalist for the US, Indian Rock’s story is just beginning.

Indian Rock’s talent for the FEI work is easily anticipated by his pedigree. Sire Apache was an international Grand Prix stallion who competed at the World Equestrian Games and World Cup Finals also under Emmelie Scholtens. He has 28 approved sons and over 60 FEI competitors to his credit, including the 2x World Young Horse Champion Jovian, Adrienne Lyle’s 2024 Olympic mount Helix, and Toyko Olympic Bronze Medalist Gio. He is currently ranked 6th on the WBFSH Dressage Sire rankings. Indian Rock’s dam is by the preferent stallion Vivaldi has established himself as one of the most popular dressage breeding lines in the world through sons such as Vitalis, Desperado, and Dream Boy. His record as a sport sire is also impressive and he’s currently 10th on the WBFSH Dressage Sire rankings.

Indian Rock’s offspring have been well received by breeders and riders. The stunning type and elastic movement have resulted in Premium Foals, licensed stallions, and Ster/Elite daughters. His oldest offspring are already winning at Medium level. The KWPN recommends Indian Rock for adding front, improving the canter, and adding size in dressage breeding.
